Call for Abstracts: SEED Annual Conference 2014 (The University of Manchester)

This year the annual PGR Conference will be held on Monday 19th May 2014. The theme of the conference is Innovation in Research. The conference provides students with the opportunity to present their research to a multi-disciplinary audience from all disciplines across the School (for details please see the attached flyer).

Students are invited to sign up to one of the following:

Students Posters: First year PhD students from Architecture, Geography, Planning and IDPM are required to present a poster and for students from MIE posters are optional. If you are presenting a poster you should have already been allocated a slot for a workshop with the Graphic Support Workshop. The poster submission is due on the conference day. All posters will be entered into a competition. 

Students Presentations:  Students from Architecture, Geography, Planning and IDPM are required to present once in their 2nd or 3rd year and although optional for MIE, students are advised to present at least once during their studies.  Abstracts of up to 200 words are due by 6th of April, 2014. Please include the title of your presentation, your name, discipline, 3 keywords. We would be interested to see how your research fits with the Conference theme with regards to the stage you are at. You could include an outline of your methodology, research justification, analysis and findings. There will also be a photo contest in which researchers are invited to participate. Details for this can be found in the flyer attached with this mail. Photos of children will not be accepted. Please ensure you have followed all necessary ethics and consent procedures for photos of adults and you have rights over any photos you submit in the competition.
