Call for Papers: The 7th MMU Postgraduate Research Conference 2014

Call for Papers: The 7th MMU Postgraduate Research Conference 2014
‘Making An Impact With Research’

When: Tuesday 4th November 2014

Place: MMU Business School

Time: 9am – 5pm

The term ‘impact’ is now at the centre of academic discourse and the need to ‘make an impact’, whether that be in research, scholarship or teaching, is crucial to success. Therefore, we at MMU would like to examine this notion further by considering how it applies to our own work and that of others.

The conference is open to postgraduate researchers both internal and external to MMU and at all stages of their programme. The general aim is to provide an opportunity for students from all disciplines to present their work in a supportive environment where they can receive valuable feedback. We also want to celebrate our own postgraduate research and engage with the academic community across disciplines.
There will be expert keynote sessions that are linked to the conference’s theme of ‘impact’, alongside numerous openings in the day for researchers to expand their network, and hopefully in turn, the prospects of finding new ideas and disseminating them to a wider audience.
